Recently, I was motivated and prompted to initiate some research regarding large (and small) corporations making extreme efforts to resist GMO labeling. Honestly, as I have made it a mission within my life to ensure that I am aware of the ever-growing GMO crisis, I was NOT surprised to see that this list has grown. However, I did unfortunately stumble upon some serious news I found necessary to share.
Myth #1: Organic foods are grown, manufactured and/or produced by small and large companies that do NOT use GMOs.
Myth #2: Corporations that support genetic modification (GMO) of food are NOT in the business of growing, manufacturing and/or producing Organic foods.
Myth #3: If a corporation has business in Organic foods, they are NOT lobbying to have GMOs hidden.
Truths: USDA Organic labeled foods are NOT 100% Organic, allowing small and large corporations to “bypass” ethics and grow, manufacture and/or produce foods that can have <10% genetically modified ingredients and still be considered “Organic.”
